Guanaja Hummingbirds ... Flying Jewels!

OK, this is just a quick clip that we caught on video ... these special little hummingbirds that flit about the island paradise of Guanaja.

You have to look close, but at Sharon and Mikes' house they are everywhere. Too cool to imagine, these tiny creatures will land right on your hand and drink nectar out of a cup.

Guanaja is a "hummers" paradise!

Hey Denise -
You think there were a lot of hummingbirds while you were here, you should see them now. They are now here in full force and we go through more than 8 lbs. of sugar a week with 6 feeders changed at least twice a day. They are mating now and will be hatching wee ones soon. About two weeks ago we had friends over for lunch and one could hardly move for all the hummingbirds flitting to and fro!

Oh, I removed my previous comment as I found a spelling error! Such a perfectionist I am!

Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there. Thanks for sharing you knowledge :)
